capital expenditure for new assets.
1. LOGICTrak™
LOGICTrak™ is the TrakSYS™ data collection engine. It is a service that
runs in the background tasked with collecting raw data from disparate
sources. In addition to several performance updates, LOGICTrak™ is
equipped to evaluate the powerful Script Tag business rule definition.
HISTORITrak™ data collection is integrated into the LOGICTrak™ service
including the capability to dedicate a separate LOGICTrak™ engine (on a
separate server) to exclusively collect tag history data.
2. MODELTrak™
MODELTrak™ is the TrakSYS™ platform modeling and configuration
management application. MODELTrak™ is used to represent the production
environment, build asset hierarchies, define data sources, establish
data capture schemes, create business rules, develop event definitions,
define KPIs, assign production schedule, designate operator teams, and
manage messaging and notification criteria. MODELTrak™ has been updated
to allow configuration of the many new features including HISTORITrak™,
SPCTrak™, IMPROVETrak™ and Script Tags. Improvements to the flexibility
of EVENTTrak™ messaging configuration enable event definitions to
inherit settings from parent systems.
2.1. Script Tag
This new tag type allows for the creation of ad hoc, user-defined
business rules and logic in a single tag using a single-line expression
written in the syntax of Visual Basic .NET. In most cases, Script Tags
eliminate the need to create complex logic by chaining together several
other Logic Tags. This new feature simplifies configuration and
streamlines implementation and maintenance of business rules.
2.2. Advance Script Tag
The optional Advanced Script Tag functionality extends the basic Script
Tag and allows more complex logic to be created. The Advanced Script
Tags use a C# .NET syntax and allows multiple line blocks of script to
be executed. In addition, the Advanced Script Tag feature allows
reusable script routines to be written and maintained within the
TrakSYS™ environment so that common functionality does not have to be
duplicated. .NET assemblies can also be created outside the TrakSYS™
environment and referenced from within the Advanced Script Tag
(industry-specific modules, plug-ins, special functions, etc.).
2.3. Aggregate Tag
Aggregate Tags allow the combination of multiple tag values using new
built-in logical operators. This tag type provides new functionality
for calculating the Sum, Average, Minimum, and Maximum values of two or
more input tags. Multiple string values may also be concatenated
together into a single result. Aggregate Tags eliminate the need for
creating multiple Calculation and Compare Tags to produce a similar
result, and centralize the logic for these types of operations into a
single tag type.
2.4. AUDITTrak™ - FDA 21-CFR Part 11
Compliance
TrakSYS™
6.0 supports compliance with FDA-21 CFR Part 11 through the creation of
detailed audit records any time a change is made to the TrakSYS™
configuration or to data that has been collected. TrakSYS™ can be
configured to require single or double digital signatures when a change
is made. Additionally, it allows extensive notes capture for
contextualized details concerning the change. New web-based reports
allow authorized users to query and view all audit information recorded
to the TrakSYS™ database. This functionality is provided by the
optional AUDITTrak™ component.
2.5. HISTORITRak™ - Performance Historian
All tag
types in TrakSYS™ 6.0 have extended functionality that allows their
values to be logged and recorded for trending and analysis. Tags can be
configured to have their values recorded to the database on a
user-defined periodic interval, or when the value changes, and/or a
combination of both. Trend reports in WEBTrak™ allow users to view
single variables against upper and lower limits or multiple variables
side by side for comparison. Single-tag trends can also be plotted
versus KPI (key performance indicators) values collected/calculated by
TrakSYS™. This functionality is available through the optional
HISTORITrak™ component.
2.6. IMPROVETrak™ - Improvement Tracking
Journal
New Journal
Entry forms and reporting functionality have been added to TrakSYS™ 6.0
for tracking and analyzing the effectiveness of actions taken to
improve the productivity of manufacturing processes. Journal Entries
can be related to assets configured in MODELTrak™ and entries may be
integrated into different report views in WEBTrak™ to chronicle the
actions and their effects related to corrective measures, improvement
scenarios, and equipment/process changes. This functionality is
available through the optional IMPROVETrak™ component.
2.7. SPCTrak™ Statistical Process Control
Functionality
TrakSYS™
now provides Statistical Process Control (SPC) functionality for data
collected from manufacturing processes. Random sample data for
user-defined process measurements and behavior can be entered through
APIs available in the EVENTTrak™ user interface. Sample data can be
collected and grouped at any stage of production. New control charts in
WEBTrak™ automatically calculate Mean (X-Bar), Sigma (standard
deviation), Range, Process Capability, and Process Capability Index
values for sample data sets and display all necessary information in a
single report for review and analysis. This functionality is available
through the optional SPCTrak™ component.
3. EVENTTrak™ - Operator
Involvement & User Interface
EVENTTrak™ is a set of ActiveX controls enabling user interfaces to be
constructed for the production floor. New EVENTTrak™ ActiveX controls
and APIs have been added to support SPC data entry and manual
HISTORITrak™ Tag data capture. Using the new SPC Sample Data control,
process-specific data entry screens can be crafted to allow the
recording of production samples (weights, sizes, etc.) for SPCTrak™
data capture and analysis. EVENTTrak™ also allows manually generated
data to be added to the HISTORITrak™ data tables using new APIs. Using
this feature, values such as scale weights can be captured and trended
on cue (such as waiting for a scale to settle and pressing a capture
button to record).
4. SCRIBETrak™ - a Manual Data
Capture
SCRIBETrak™ is the manual data entry interface for the TrakSYS™
Platform. It is a configurable set of forms enabling the collection of
data from assets where automated data collection is not possible or is
currently cost prohibitive. SCRIBETrak™ has been updated to accommodate
the new event and KPI data structures in TrakSYS™ 6.0.
5. WEBTrak™ - Enhanced
Knowledge Management Portal
WEBTrak™ is the TrakSYS™ knowledge management and decision support
portal. It is a comprehensive data analysis web application with an
integrated security framework and diverse set of user-definable
reports. TrakSYS™ 6.0 offers extensive dashboard-based reports through
its updated WEBTrak™. The idea is to empower stakeholders to create
personalized user interfaces by simply dragging and dropping
plug-and-play components (Web Parts). Non-programmers can bring
together the information they care about and customize the appearance
of the reports. They are able to assemble a variety of charts, graphs,
trends, messages, and graphics to aid them in thorough analysis of the
manufacturing operations needed for real-time decision support and
process optimization.
TrakSYS™ 6.0 offers extended analytics and visualization with several
new report types. These new reports significantly expand the scope and
functionality of the WEBTrak™ knowledge management and decision support
portal.
5.1. Dashboard
This report
type allows end-users to create their own custom dashboard reports in
WEBTrak™ by adding and arranging different report controls (Web Parts)
on a blank reporting palette. Many different charts, gauges, and other
graphical displays can be added to a dashboard from a catalogue of Web
Parts available during report design. These controls can display data
directly from the TrakSYS™ database using data pickers and other
configuration options built into each Web Part. They may also be linked
to other data sources such as Excel files or databases that support SQL
queries. Dashboard reports round out the ad hoc reporting capabilities
of WEBTrak™ and do not require custom programming or knowledge of the
TrakSYS™ database structures.
5.2. SPC
The Web
Part library for dashboard reports can optionally include control
charts and standard deviation graphs used for statistical process
control (SPC). These controls are available if the optional SPCTrak™
component is included.
5.3. Value Stream Mapping
An
extension of the WEBTrak™ dashboard reporting, value stream mapping
provides real- time visuals that track the flow of materials and
information through a manufacturing process. These displays combine
data for process flow, machine state, and other productivity metrics by
using graphics and other web-based controls that require no custom
programming. Value stream maps extend the WEBTrak™ ability to give
TrakSYS™ users actionable information that quickly identifies
procedures and constraints that contribute to waste and poor
productivity.
6. GLOBALTrak™ -
ENTERPRISE-WIDE PERFORMANCE
GLOBALTrak™ allows data from individual sites to be pulled to a central
data repository. An enterprise reporting portal exposes new types of
reports for comparing data from multiple sites. This functionality is
available through the optional GLOBALTrak™ enterprise component and
INTELLITrak™ site component for TrakSYS™
7. WINDOWS 2008 SERVER
COMPATIBILITY
All TrakSYS™ client and server applications have been tested for
compatibility with Microsoft Windows 2008 Server. These components are
supported on the Windows 2008 Server.
8. MAINTENANCE SERVICES
The new TrakSYS™ 6.0 Maintenance Service monitors and reduces the size
of TrakSYS™ Logs and Trace Tables when they grow beyond configured
limits. This service removes old records from the database for logs and
traces, deletes old Tag History data that has expired, and cleans dead
messages sent to non-existent or deleted EVENTTrak™ nodes that were
never processed.
Improving
Enterprise Performance
With
TrakSYS™, you will also augmenting its existing data
management
services with functionality for enterprise performance data management
and
